I was that young girl, younger, smaller, and weaker than everyone around me, people made fun of me, how I looked, how I dressed, the way I walked, the way I talked, I was destroyed mentally and emotionally. Now I am 17, older, stronger, wiser, built over the years into a back bone for myself. Determined to fight to make my way into a not so perfect, but comfortable living. The ones whom did not accept me are slowly running behind me. I believe in climbing to the peaks of the mountain, but now I am taking off to the biggest star of all. I will not let the heat from the sun’s rays stop me from believing and dreaming of capturing what is rightfully mines. I will not stand beneath the label modern societys statistics any longer . I am grasping for, taking back, and owing up to and for what’s rightfully mines!
